Yr 10 CUFFS COMIC

We are using ComicLife to create a comic with information about how Cuffs reflects the time in which it was made. It has representations of:
  • diversity  - Ryan is black, there are shopkeepers and customers who are of Asian ethnicity as well as a young police woman, whereas in The Avengers there are no similar representations
  • gender - women like Jo are in positions of responsibility, whereas in The Avengers representations of independent, equal women (like Mrs Peel) are only just emerging
  • sexuality - Jake and the duty solicitor identify openly as gay, whereas in The Avengers there are no similar representations
Take screenshots to use in your future comic that reflect the representations in Cuffs. You can also use the Cuffs website or online images. Have them ready for next lesson.
