The first part of today's session is planning how to take forwards our hiphop music videos under lockdown at home. We came to these decisions:
- We each make a blog post (with this title) with bullet points listing how we can continue developing our brief
- We approach family members to act as cameraman and discuss suitable filming times outdoors, indoors, in the garden
- Montage sequences: we start today by making a practice photo in Powerpoint using 'remove background', featuring yourself as performer against a suitable backdrop. Think of using the right body language. Think of yourself within the frame so that there is variety for visual interest.
- A series of such images could be cut to the beat. Therefore, is the montage sequence likely to go with a 'quiet' (slow) bit of your lyrics or a 'busy' (fast) bit? That decision will affect what you shoot.
- Ollie had already planned to bring a still image to life, with his over-the-shoulder shot of the singer looking at the superhero comic, then seeing the image, then making it spring alive.
- Greenscreen: if you have this possibility at home, the OCR board will allow found images in the circumstances.
- I will go into school to collect your footage, clothes and props. You suggested leaving them at the post section of Facilities in labelled bags. Matt, I am told that your clothes are in Asa'a bag, so I will add another plastic bag with a blank label, so the first of either you or Asa to collect will divide & label the other's clothes.
