We are filming today as planned. UPDATE: the lesson was changed because of different issues beyond our control. Next lesson we move on to a new topic: making documentary films.
You will aim to have a great many very short clips.
Some ECUs (extreme close-ups), some CUs, some mid shots, some action shots, probably an establishing shot.
A trailer (or teaser trailer) jumps rapidly through a narrative arc, meaning that the audience does not have to understand how everything connects at this stage.
PREP You have the next 2 prep times to complete this prep BUT it will mean coming into the media studio at lunch times to suit you.
Finish the last piece of editing!
You can work with your friends if you wish or do your own cut.
The film opening production that you did last week should have:
- the panning over the selected story table
- the film title
- a voice over (unless you really don't want one for artistic reasons)
- credits (name of actors, director - but don't write 'starring', just the name in capital letters)
- the live action sequence at the end after the title
- music soundtrack
- perhaps spot sounds to enhance the narrative
- finally, post the finished film opening on your blog!
